went to see Izhar in the afternoon… and they had him on the c-pap again. sigh… my poor boy.
he was asleep when i got there but i guess he knew that mummy’s here so he started crying hard - complaining to me how uncomfortable he was. he only calmed down after i carried him… in any case, its not all bad news. the 48hr blood culture resulted in no signs of bacteria so he was off the penicilin and thankfully the painful IV came off.
they only started to put him on the c-pap at 11am, reason being that his heartbeat has been a bit erratic and on the high end. because of the fluid in his lungs, it may be the cause of his rapid breathing which may thus cause the high heartbeat rate.
as of now, apart from the above, he is pretty much back to normal. the dad is off to see him this evening so hopefully the situation either turns out for the better or remains the same.
