Our Fighter Boy

The chronicle of our journey with our special first born

on the quest for a better quality of life

we have reached the major starting point of Izhar’s fight…

we met with his cardiologst last wednesday and were told that the surgery will be slotted earlier - either this week or next. but as days passed and its already a week, we thought that most likely they’d only be looking at surgery next week. but. my boy decides to take things in his own hands and this evening, his O2 stats went below 30% (they actually reduced his standard to 75% already this past week) and he was having a difficult time to maintain his stats. not only that he is working harder in order to breath. thus, they intubated him - like what they did when he was just born in order to help make him more comfortable.

afterwhich, the cardiologist came by in the evening and officially declared that Izhar’s getting much sicker, and that surgery has to be done asap, except that he wasn’t able to tell us when til after he consults the surgeon.

well. just 15mins after he told us all the grim details (will get into that later) and that he wasn’t able to confirm anything with us, we were told by the nurses that the surgery will be slotted for tomorrow. as of now, we are still not sure what time the surgery will be as they have to check for the availability of the opeating theatre.

we just hope for the best now. thats the only thing that we can do as of now.
