post-op #1: CSDU day 17

we just received another news.

izhar’s gotta go for his next surgery soon - for the bt shunt. his pda is showing signs of closing still of the same size but it seems to be too small for him as he is growing bigger. thus, his O2 sats have been dropping from high 70s to high 60s. it went down to as low as 58% at one moment. that was when i was there with him.

though it isn’t surprising, it is still heart wrenching. yes he’s my lil fighter, but still i don’t expect him to have one THIS soon. we were hoping for the next few months… anyways, from the brief discussion with the doc earlier, its to be done either this week or the next. on the other hand, he doesn’t seem to look too uncomfortable. so… *shrugs* we’ll see how. if with God’s will he’s able to maintain above 75% again, then maybe he doesn’t have to go through the surgery?

in anycase, they’d be doing his scans for him as well as the x-rays to check on his lungs. we’ll see how it goes then.
